How we do it Camp Goals motivational sports camp. Teamwork, Leadership, Communication.
There is no better team than the US Military. Teamwork is the main focus, fully devoted in team-concept avoiding individual glory. Getting the job done is the only goal. A participant’s ultimate competition is winning or losing. Our staff at CampGoalz know the importance of relying on one another. Victory is only achieved when every member of the team is pulling on the same side of the rope. HOME BASE - The camp will be located within the borders of Camp Pendleton over looking the Pacific Ocean in Southern California San Diego County.
GEAR - Participants have a choice to either purchase or rent fatigues (pants). They will be provided with long-sleeve shirts for them to keep. Backpacks, glow sticks, water bottles, and other essentials will be provided and returned. Participants must bring travel size toiletries.
GROUPS - Participants will be in groups for the duration of the camp. They will be assigned names:
- = Alpha
- = Bravo
- = Charlie
- = Delta
- = Echo
EATING - The participants may have responsibilities of cooking for one’s teammates. Other groups will be on: cleanup duty, setting up, or serving. Duties are rotated. Catering may be provided depending on size of team. Participants may be given directions on how to eat (M.R.E.) Meals Ready to Eat.
SLEEPING - The different groups will be required to build their own tents and be provided with individual sleeping bags. They are expected to maintain their sleeping quarters in excellent conditions.
HYGIENE - Bathrooms and shower facilities are on the premises and have easy access from the camp grounds. Groups will rotate using the facilities that has private shower stalls.
TECHNOLOGY - There will be no: cell phones, video games, or any other electrical devices. Also, no money, jewelry, or expensive items are necessary.
INSTRUCTIONS - The participants will be coached on how to: walk, stand, and talk with emphasis on body language, tone of voice, and eye contact when speaking. The staff will teach: respect, accountability, and honor.
BONFIRE - Two individuals at a time will be asked to keep fire-watch. Their duty is to make sure there are enough logs in the fire pit to burn through-out the night. Two individuals from the team will rotate every hour. They are to keep watch of their camp-site while everyone sleeps
REVEILLE - Participants will awake and be ready at 5:00 a.m. The morning starts with proper attire, and equipment check. Then, morning military exercises along the beach at sunrise.
GUEST SPEAKER - Their will be motivational speakers with either military or athletic backgrounds.
QUESTIONNAIRE/SURVEY - The participants are asked to write down short-term and long-term goals for their team and for their personal future.
